Therefore we created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. Information collection and use

We use DISQUS, a secure and user-friendly comments management service on our website. In order to use the DISQUS features, users can log in using their own DISQUS user account or existing social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, or Google). Here, the user credentials are obtained from the platforms through DISQUS. It is also possible to use the DISQUS comment feature as a guest without creating or using user accounts with DISQUS or any of the social media providers listed. We embed DISQUS with its features on the website. However, users enter into a direct contractual relationship with DISQUS, in which DISQUS processes users’ comments and acts as point of contact for any deletion of users’ data. DISQUS also saves cookies on users’ computers and may use them to display advertising. However, users may object to the processing of their data to display ads.

We reserve the right to delete comments if their content violates the Terms of Service. In addition, we reserve the right to stop or remove the comment function and the associated comments on any article, at any time.

Contact forms

We use Typeform, an online form software provided by Typeform, SL. (“Typeform”), to create interactive contact forms. Although these forms include the option to include an email address when submitting the response, this information is only used to email users a copy of their answers and is not connected in any way to any other data. For the encryption (HTTPS over TLS) of this website of the user we use the free service “Cloudflare” which is also acts as a content delivery network (CDN). Other than the Google Analytics and MailChimp properties mentioned above, we do not share your data with any third parties, including social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We do not share or sell any other information to anyone else.

How long we retain your data

Google Analytics trackers are automatically deleted after 26 months. User names and email addresses, if submitted, are stored indefinitely, unless you requested.

What rights you have over your data

Your data and privacy rights are important to us. If we do hold any personal data on you, you can request to receive an exported file of that data. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
